Royal Windsor Olympic Triathlon – 16th June

Royal Windsor Olympic 2019

The Olympic distance championships were contested at the Royal Windsor triathlon on 16th June, where conditions were again not exactly summer-like! A heavy downpour mid-morning particularly affected the later starters who were out on the bike course at the time, but thankfully everyone managed to remain upright and make it to the finish.

Another strong turnout saw 20 turbos contesting the club championships with Will Russell (2:05.59) coming out on top in the men’s race, followed by Ian Shaw (2:19.42) and Nathan Wilson (2:20.12) in a close battle for the podium places. In the Ladies race Rachael Weager (3:00.28) came out on top with Gail Edmans (3:14.16) taking second place.
